The Global: PMF Announces Worldwide Disc Golf Tournament Fundraiser

The Paul McBeth Foundation is proud to announce The Global, a one-day worldwide disc golf tournament designed to unite players across continents for a single purpose: expanding access to disc golf around the world.
On September 19, 2026, players will compete in locally hosted, PDGA-sanctioned C-Tier events under one unified global identity. While players compete within their divisions, they will also be part of a worldwide leaderboard experience, connecting thousands of competitors across countries.
More than just a tournament, The Global transforms participation into impact. Every event played helps fund new courses, equipment, and opportunities for communities that currently have little to no access to the sport.
Player Experience and Tournament Director Support
Professional divisions will compete for standard PDGA C-Tier payouts, while amateur players will receive premium player packs made possible by PMF partners, including 2 premium custom discs and other gear to be announced soon. (For US & Canada based events)
Tournament Directors will receive full support from PMF, including event setup tools, marketing assets, and operational guidance, along with a $8 per player stipend to help offset costs. Applications to host an event are now open, with a deadline of August 1, 2026.
Why The Global Matters for Disc Golf Growth
“The Global is about more than competition,” said Zachary Smith, Executive Director of PMF. “It’s a chance for players everywhere to come together and support the continued growth of disc golf in communities that have limited access to the sport.”
For its inaugural year, The Global aims to:
Host 100+ tournaments worldwide
Engage 5,000+ competitors
Raise critical funds to expand disc golf access globally
