Paul McBeth Foundation Invites Community to Grand Opening of First Disc Golf Courses in the Dominican Republic

PMF brings disc golf to the Dominican Republic for the first time, inviting the Santiago community to celebrate three new courses at a Grand Opening on May 2nd.

The Paul McBeth Foundation (PMF) is proud to celebrate a major milestone in its global mission with the completion of its first project in the Dominican Republic. Project 6.1 will introduce disc golf to the country for the very first time, with three new courses being installed across Santiago de los Caballeros in the days leading up to the event.

To mark the occasion, PMF is inviting the local community, partners, and supporters to a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, May 2nd, at Parque Central de Santiago. If you’d like to attend, please email jflowers@paulmcbethfoundation.org for more information.

This project, completed in partnership with BLUE Missions and local leaders, includes a 9-hole course in Parque Central—one of the city’s most active public spaces—as well as two additional courses at Universidad ISA. Together, these installations will create new opportunities for recreation, education, and community engagement, while laying the foundation for long-term growth of the sport in the region.

“We’re incredibly excited to see this project come to life,” said PMF Executive Director Zachary Smith. “We’re especially grateful to the local partners and community members who have embraced this project from the beginning. This Grand Opening is a chance to celebrate that work and invite the community to experience the sport.”

“At BLUE Missions, we believe in creating opportunities that bring people together and strengthen communities,” said Danny Rodriguez. “This partnership with the Paul McBeth Foundation allows us to introduce something entirely new to Santiago—an activity that is inclusive, accessible, and impactful. We’re excited to see how disc golf can complement our mission and create lasting connections for the people we serve.”

The Grand Opening event will feature introductory clinics, opportunities to learn the game, and community play designed for participants of all ages and skill levels. No prior experience is necessary, and discs will be provided to those attending.

PMF extends its sincere gratitude to BLUE Missions, Dynamic Discs, the Professional Disc Golf Association, and all local supporters who are helping bring this project to life.

All are encouraged to attend the Grand Opening celebration on May 2nd to experience disc golf firsthand.
