About this Project
In 2024, the Paul McBeth Foundation installed the first-ever disc golf course within New York City limits. The 10-hole layout in Highland Park, which straddles Brooklyn and Queens, was developed in partnership with Discraft, the PDGA, UDisc, and the newly formed New York City Disc Golf Association. The course is designed to make disc golf accessible to a broad and diverse urban population, offering a new way for New Yorkers to enjoy recreation in a central, public space.
Why New York City?
Highland Park’s location and easy public transit access make it ideal for introducing disc golf to NYC’s 8.5 million residents. The project fosters community connection, encourages active lifestyles, and creates lasting opportunities for people of all backgrounds to experience the sport in one of the world’s most dynamic cities.
