Why Belgrade?
With nearly 1.5 million residents and no previous access to disc golf, Belgrade was an ideal location for Serbia’s first course. Local partners, including Milan Todorivic and the “Frizbijak” Disc Golf Club, worked tirelessly to secure municipal approval. The course not only provides a new outlet for recreation but also strengthens the regional disc golf network alongside PMF’s projects in Montenegro and Bulgaria. Plans for future courses are already underway, positioning Belgrade as a hub for disc golf in Eastern Europe.

About this Project
In August 2024, the Paul McBeth Foundation installed Serbia’s first permanent disc golf course just outside Belgrade. The 18-hole layout was designed to introduce and grow the sport in Serbia, providing a new recreational opportunity for the community. Supported by Manufacturer Partner Prodigy and PDGA Europe, the project marked an important milestone in expanding disc golf throughout Eastern Europe.

A PMF team, including renowned course designer Avery Jenkins, was on-site to oversee installation and ensure a high-quality layout. The team completed tee pads, sign posts, and basket sleeves, with Prodigy baskets arriving later that month. Educational sessions were also held to help local residents learn and enjoy the sport.
