Disc Golf in Montenegro

About this Project:

This Eastern European project offered the opportunity to install Montenegro’s first disc golf course.

Niksic is Montenegro’s second-largest city. We partnered with a local youth sports organization called LOGOS that hosts a variety of leagues (soccer is their primary love…for now). LOGOS have been very excited to add a new sport to the mix and caught on with the vision of the Paul McBeth Foundation quickly.

We installed an 18-hole course in Trebjesa Park, right in the center of the city. It is located on the side of a hill, which allowed us to feature some fun terrain. More importantly, it is accessible by many people in Niksic, not just the youth. LOGOS is committed to teaching disc golf to kids and young adults, and we look forward to their partnership for years to come!

Discmania & DiscGolfPark joined the Paul McBeth Foundation as the primary sponsors for this project, and the course was designed by Avery Jenkins.

Why Niksic?

As you look at a map of Eastern Europe, disc golf is nearly non-existent. When we were approached with this project request, the chance to add disc golf to a new country was very intriguing. After receiving full government approval, we decided to move forward, and we feel that we have a very strong partner who will maintain and utilize the course well, giving access to many potential new players.
