About this Project:

The Managua project finds PMF installing two courses in and around Nicaragua’s capital city.

We will be working with the Departmental Association of Flying Disc Managua, a local nonprofit that has recently formed to grow disc golf in the Central American nation. A six-hole course at Shekinah, a location in the heart of Managua, which will provide accessibility to youth & families in the capital, while an 18-hole course at Foresta Outdoors, located just outside Managua, will bring the sport to the wider community. The association is committed to teaching disc golf to kids, and both of these courses will play a key role in doing just that!

Why Managua?

As we talked with the local leaders of this project, their excitement and enthusiasm for disc golf was overflowing. Not only is there a desire for courses, but a strong commitment to provide opportunities for children to learn and enjoy the sport. With a dedicated team on the ground and two opportunities to put in courses that will complement each other nicely, it made for an easy decision to support this project.
