Paul McBeth Foundation Announces 2026 ‘Throw for More’ Global Disc Golf Fundraiser

One-day event aims to break worldwide participation record

The Paul McBeth Foundation (PMF) today announced its 2026 ‘Throw For More’ event. The global, one-day disc golf fundraiser will be held on Saturday, June 20, with an ambitious goal: Surpassing 200,000 rounds of disc golf played and $70,000 raised for underserved communities.

In 2025, ‘Throw for More’ came within 1,500 rounds of the global record for disc golf recorded on UDisc. Players logged approximately 124,000 rounds worldwide, narrowly missing the previous single-day mark of 125,000 rounds.

“Last year showed us how close this community is to something truly historic,” said PMF Executive Director Zachary Smith. “We fell just short of the record and that’s exactly why we’re pushing even harder in 2026. The goal is simple: More people playing on the same day than ever before. We want to use that momentum to expand access for the sport worldwide.”

The 2025 ‘Throw for More’ event was modeled on the charity walk-a-thons and endurance challenges common to other recreational sports. Roughly 1,300 registered participants raised approximately $70,000 through pledges from friends and supporters. Beyond those fundraisers however, many other disc golfers around the world participated simply by playing disc golf. More than 84,000 unique UDisc users logged rounds that day across more than 8,500 courses worldwide, making it one of the largest single days in disc golf history.

“In 2025, we raised five times more in donations than we expected,” Smith said. “People literally played from dawn to dusk. In Estonia, Tarmo Tomson played 300 rounds in a single day, covering more than 40 miles. That kind of dedication tells us something. We hope even more players will join this year’s 24-hour marathon of disc golf.”

The 2026 ‘Throw for More’ will be held on Saturday, June 20—one of the longest Saturdays of sunlight in the year. Participation is free and open to players of all skill levels. Prizes will be awarded for top individual fundraisers, clubs, and tournament directors. The disc golf app UDisc has partnered with PMF to donate $0.10 for every round logged that day.

Funds raised through ‘Throw for More’ support PMF’s mission of installing sustainable disc golf courses in underserved communities. Thanks to the success of last year’s event, PMF is already planning to install more courses in 2026 than ever before.
